a dose of DUMB BUM COMICS iddleness

We're having host problems basically. I can only login halfway into our accout and can't manage the site pages. This problem has been active for a few days and as a result, neither MINOS or The Obsidian Canticle has updated. It's annoying that it happened just when I had TOC's page ready at last. Grrrr.
Well I've started working on p.15 in the meantime which should be available circa Christmas.
I don't know if there'll be a 3rd TOC update in December as I want to spend a bit more time with my family in the next 2 weeks.
As for the Minotaur, the plan is to reach Gag #50 before the end of 2007, which should be an easy thing to do, the second our host quits tormenting us.

no coffee and too much yawning
Will try to finish the last 2 drawings for TOC's next
page before i fall asleep. If i succeed, then p.14 could be online
tomorrow (i.e. today...uhhh on the 9th). It's worth the try. The future
holds the answer, so ask it when it arrives.

T.O.C. updated at the strike of midnight! Eerie.
Page 13 was late by one second. o.O
Also: We're now listed at Online Comics .
It's a good place to be notified of comic updates and to show your
support for Agnor & the gang. So if you're into the comic, please
join our little batallion of fans. It's nice to have allies.
Cheers once more.

T.O.C. comic = 1 more drawing and page 13 is done. I'll try to have the page lettered and uploaded for tomorrow ^^
MINOS = next strip is being colored... Update coming very soon.
We're getting close to that 50th gag milestone! Wow. It feels like we
started this comic yesterday. And we haven't finished all the jokes we
had come up with initially... which means: many more Minos strips in
the near future.
Cheers again.

I've 3 more drawings left and The Obsidian Canticle
gets its 13th page. A headache is trying to slow me down but it is met
with fierce resistance and metal hymns. In spite of the pain I'm
doodling very happily today.
Thanx to Gods of War for keeping me company.
Hopefully the drawings will be completed in the next 24 hours... Cheers.

Had a rough drawing day. It's
amazing how quickly I lose confidence when those 2D people give me a
run for my lead. I'm exhausted right now and I find it hard to believe
that I'll ever be a decent artist. I don't think I could plot or write
the script of my dreams either.
Maybe a good night's sleep will fix this sense of inadequacy. Too bad it's only 11pm and sleep won't be around for hours.

It's like Wonderland without the drugs

Isn't Art
work full of magic? One day you turn around and wonder "
Hey! where did my social life vanish off to?" It's a good trick. The bread and butter of psychotherapy.

So pages 9 AND 10 of The Obsidian Canticle made it online before the end of October... barely. LOL
Agnor didn't have it easy in
that last one and if I know anything about writing, he won't have
anything easy coming up either. Keeping one's word is an important deal
for characters in any story, as honor often separates heroes from the
vilains. Agnor drew a line on the sand here and maybe he dug a ravine
in the reader's unconscious.
I think I'm being too cruel or
too cynical with this plot, but exploring one's own psyche is part of
the writing experience...and I do carry unpleasant aspects, obviously.
What lies on the other side of consciousness draws and shards me
irrevocably. To say that the obsidian canticle
is the Plutonian manifestation of my 'house of trials' is the closest
thing to the truth...(but how truthfully can we really describe a
psyche that evades our rational comprehension?)
The 4 pages per month update
schedule might be hard to repeat. I should bring myself down to more
realistic spheres. If the month goes well, 4 pages isn't a huge
stretch, but life keeps throwing those things at me, you know, what are
they called? Plagues of the apocalypse...i.e. obligations. That endless
war between external control and internal freedom. Stories are its
refugees in some way, made of hope and pain and seeking distant places
to heal their wounds. When life gets tough it makes me want to create
more but there's less time available during those days.
I'll do 2 new pages in November and will aim for more, but I won't make any nutty promises.
I hope everyone had a fun
Halloween, and happy Helloween-listening moments which are better than
many things. Okie. Time to go. Bye now.

I wanted to use that crying Kurt for some time

Computer problems continue to be a thorn over here. They're the reason why Minos isn't
updating twice a week, but the problems should be fixed soon so don't
flog the bull yet. A few gags are already drawn and inked, so... We're
NOT slacking off I swear!
Big thanks to Mike who is letting me use his computer to type this btw.
Page 9 of The Osidian Canticle was
supposed to be available last week. I apologise for the delay and I'm
pushing to put pages 9 and 10 online before the end of October. The 9th
page ended up being problematic in a variety of ways, and I redid the
layout and changed some angles. It's still not great, but I gotta move
on.
Page 9 should be up tomorrow if not tonight.
And the comic is now listed at
The Belfry and on TheWebcomicList, so you can find it through there
(unless all those other better comic distract you along the way. Heh)
