for a moment the shining elusive element which is life itself - life
hurrying past us and running away, too strong to stop, too sweet to

It's morning, I can hear the crows are up and croaking, the house still asleep and a screen for company, my self to stare at, my own words reflected back at me. Not the false image of the mirror but what goes on under my skin, beneath impressions. The words are pain, the blank spaces apathy. I've babbled pointlessly enough to lose any potential lurker-reader so I feel safe enough to say something authentic. Authenticity is only valued in the privacy of one's identity. The mass has no use for authentic selves, for originality or singularity of experience. The 'other' relates, he needs... (more)

Woopsie, forgot to link the last update until now.

I'll try to define a more steady schedule for comic updates. But it's not easy at the moment because my work load shifts too much and the other projects are growing and require increasing amounts of time. There will be more comics in the future and I obviously need to practice digital coloring. So off I go and that's all which isn't much.

I just finished drawing the next page for The Obsidian Canticle. I'm guilty of rushing the details on this one so hopefully I didn't forget to place a belt, an arm or a head anywhere. O.oTime to scan it now. I'll clean the pics tonight and hopefully the comic will update before dawn. It's usually a 4-5 hours task to scan, clean the images, adjust the darkness of the lines, paste the layouts, letter the page, and get it in the right format.I think I can do it before going to sleep. Time will prove me right or otherwise.
Expect the update on July 5th for sure.Minos the Minotaur update =... (more)

The Minotaur should have a fresh comic update later tonight.

In the meantime you can still view gag #67: VICTORIA'S UGLY SECRET.It features a pair of furries from Calamities of Nature comic.

Visit the Minos the Minotaur Comic here.

And yes his erotic taste is as poor as his parenting skills, perhaps worse.

We changed hosts successfully and our comics are available again. Yay.There will be a TOC update very soon. I'm currently busy with Minos, creating some bonus strips for a book project, and working on the site's recreation.I think the obsidian canticle site needs some revamping too but I'm not good with site building and I'm short on time. So the changes will arrive gradually.

Our server has been down since Tuesday. If everything goes well,
dumbbum.net (meaning our comics) will be accessible sometime this
week-end. And hopefully our new host will be reliable for a long time.I'll
be drawing more for The Obsidian Canticle tomorrow. I spent the day
gathering ideas for some new comics. Every second day an idea for a new
comic joins the dozens of 'pending ones' in my head. It's getting
stuffy in there. They'll start lacking oxygen soon.

I'm falling apart but the comics will survive. They wouldn't even exist if my mental health wasn't a mess, so lets be grateful for it.Minos has remained on schedule for the most part (probably because I'm not doing that comic alone). I know The Obsidian Canticle has been pretty arid update-wise. I apologise for not keeping myself together, it has caused major delays. I assure all the loyal readers that I'm putting every free moment I have on the comic. I've reworked the rest of chapter 1, plotwise, in hope to make the story tighter. This comic is a way for me to practice storytelling... (more)

I just updated The Obsidian Canticle.
It's not the best page by far but I'm happy that the comic is
progressing again. I started working on page 16 and will try to put it
online before the end of the month ^^ It's good not to be blocked.

It would also be good if i remembered this blog sometime before
reaching the point of exhaustion, which i can't seem to do, so i'm off
once again before tackling anything of importance. Apologies to whoever
wasted 30 seconds reading this crap.

You really need to stop now. And so should I.
